Video Indexer allows you to extract, review, curate, customize, search, and publish insights in a single job from your audio and video files using AI. See the full list of Video Indexer features
Video Indexer can be used with two types of accounts:
Free trial account: up to 10 hours of free indexing for website users, and up to 40 hours of free indexing for API users.
Paid unlimited account: for larger scale indexing, create a new Video Indexer account connected to a paid Microsoft Azure subscription.
Pricing is based on the duration of the input file. Indexing is charged for audio analysis, video analysis, or both.
Audio analysis is available in three bundles of features at different price points. The Basic Audio Indexer preset provides a low-cost option and includes transcription, translation, formatting of output captions and subtitles (closed captions). The Standard Audio Indexer preset provides a richer set of metadata using a predefined set of AI-based audio analysis models. In addition to the Basic Audio insights, it offers speaker indexing, single and multi-language detection, speech sentiment analysis, topics, keywords, and named entities. The Advanced Audio Indexer preset provides all of the AI-based analysis models Video Indexer has to offer.
Video analysis is available in three bundles of features at different price points. The Basic Video Indexer preset includes object detection, visual labels, optical character recognition (OCR), keyframe extraction, and scene and shot detection. The Standard Video Indexer preset offers a rich set of AI-based video analysis models. In addition to the Basic Video insights, it offers facial recognition, celebrity recognition, OCR based keywords, topics, and named entities. The Advanced Video Indexer preset offers all AI-based analysis models Video Indexer has to offer. It also samples the video more frequently for better quality and includes advanced insights like clapperboard, digital patterns and more.
If you are indexing with Azure AI Video Indexer enabled by Arc, only the Basic Audio Indexer Analysis and Basic Video Indexing Analysis presets are supported. The prices listed below per input minute apply to both Azure AI Video Indexer and Azure AI Video Indexer enabled by Arc.
