Azure Database for MySQL- Flexible server gives you the ability to choose the standby server zone location. With this feature, you can place your standby server in the zone of your choice. Placing your standby server in a specific zone can help prepare for disaster recovery situations and zone down scenarios. You can also reduce latencies by placing the standby application and the standby database servers in the same zone.
