General availability: Run Enterprise Java with Red Hat JBoss EAP for Azure Virtual Machines
Azure Marketplace offers to run JBoss EAP on Azure Virtual Machines and Virtual Machine Scale Sets are now available. Customers can quickly move existing Java EE/Jakarta EE workloads to the cloud with limited code changes.

Azure can now select the dedicated host to which your VM is deployed. Additionally, Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets can be deployed in conjunction with Dedicated Hosts.
Intel SGX based confidential computing VMs now available on Azure Dedicated Hosts
The new DCsv2_Type1 Dedicated Host SKUs add confidential computing capabilities to Azure Dedicated Hosts. The DCsv2-series Azure Virtual Machines can help protect the confidentiality and integrity of your data and code while it’s processed in the public cloud. Dedicated hosts will provide further isolation from other tenants, further enhancing the isolation aspect of secure applications within confidential computing.

New maintenance control features
Increase control over maintenance operations and ensure higher availability for your business-critical applications with two new features now in preview. The new D v4-series and E v4-series Azure Virtual Machines feature the Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8272CL custom processor, which can achieve up to 3.4 Ghz all core turbo frequency. The D v4-series and E v4-series virtual machines (VMs) don’t provide any temporary storage. The D v4-series and Ds v4-series virtual machine sizes can meet the requirements associated with most general-purpose workloads. The E v4-series and Es v4-series VMs offer up to 504 GiB of RAM and are ideal for various memory-intensive enterprise applications.
New Azure Virtual Machines with high-performance local SSD are now generally available
The new Dd v4-series and Ed v4-series Azure Virtual Machines feature the Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8272CL custom processor. The Dd v4-series and Dds v4 virtual machine (VM) sizes are well suited for applications that benefit from low latency, high-speed local storage (up to 2,400 GiB.) The Edv4-series and Edsv4-series VM sizes are ideal for various memory-intensive enterprise applications and feature up to 504 GiB of RAM, in addition to high-performance local SSD storage (up to 2,400 GiB.)
