Enterprise Agreement Support Plan Upgrade Offer (“EA Upgrade Offer”)
Microsoft is offering a 12-month Azure support plan upgrade to certain customers until 30 June 2017, as follows:
- Available to customers that have or intend to buy Microsoft Azure services on an Enterprise Agreement or on a Microsoft Product and Services Agreement (each an “Agreement”).
- Some customers may be eligible for additional benefits as part of this EA Upgrade Offer if either the Agreement contains a prepaid annual commitment to Azure services of at least $100000, or Azure services consumption equates to at least $10000 per month for 3 consecutive months1.
This EA Upgrade Offer is only available for customers that have Agreements for Azure, Azure Government and Azure Germany. It is not available to customers that already have a Premier support contract or “Azure in China” accounts.

Terms and conditions
The following terms apply to customers who are eligible to use Azure services under an Agreement that is active as of 1 May 2016, sign a new Agreement between 1 May 2016 and 30 June 2017 or renew an expiring Agreement between 1 May 2016 and 30 June 2017.
Not currently purchasing Azure support: Customers that purchase Azure services without technical support will be offered Azure Standard support free of charge for the first 12 months of their Agreement. Customers that have not purchased technical support, but have made a prepaid annual commitment to Azure services of at least $100000 or consume at least $10000 in Azure services per month for 3 consecutive months1, will be offered ProDirect support, rather than Standard support, until the end of the original 12-month upgrade period.
Currently purchasing Azure Standard support: Customers who purchase Azure services with Azure Standard support will receive a free upgrade to Azure ProDirect support for 12 months. Standard support customers that make a prepaid annual commitment to Azure services of at least $100000 or consume at least $10000 in Azure services per month for 3 consecutive months1 will also receive a package of 6 Azure App Consulting Services sessions2, which must be consumed during the original 12-month upgrade period.
Currently purchasing Azure ProDirect support: Customers who purchase Azure services with Azure ProDirect support will receive a free package of 6 Azure App Consulting Services sessions2. Azure ProDirect support customers that make a prepaid annual commitment to Azure services of at least $100000 or consume at least $10000 in Azure services per month for 3 consecutive months1 will receive an additional 6 Azure App Consulting Services sessions for a total of 12 sessions2. All Azure App Consulting Services sessions must be consumed within the original 12-month upgrade period.
Through this promotion, Microsoft may provide certain benefits to government customers at no additional charge. Microsoft waives any and all entitlement to compensation from government customers for such benefits. Microsoft intends that the provision of these benefits to government customers without charge will fully comply with applicable gift, ethics and other laws and regulations related to gratuitous goods and services. Microsoft intends that the provision of these services shall be for the sole benefit and use of government customers, and not for the personal use or benefit of any individual government employee.
Microsoft, at its sole discretion, may terminate, modify or revise the terms of this EA Upgrade Offer at any time. Customer may terminate its participation in the EA Upgrade Offer at any time by notifying Microsoft in writing.

- How do I redeem this EA Upgrade Offer?
There is no explicit action needed from your end. For all eligible customers, by default you will be upgraded to Standard support. Where eligible, ProDirect and/or Azure App Consults will be provisioned within 45 days of meeting eligibility. - What is an Azure App Consulting Services session?
An Azure App Consulting Services session is a customised one-to-one consultation with a Microsoft Azure Engineer on a variety of Azure-related topics such as architecting cloud environments, design and implementation of apps on Azure, and workload deployment. Microsoft engineers can provide deep, technical guidance on how best to use Azure capabilities, customised and aligned with your organisation’s goals.
Each consultation is a structured discussion designed to address your development team’s questions or challenges. An Azure App consultant will work with your development team to identify prerequisites, provide customised technical guidance, and deliver a summary report, including a detailed action plan. This benefit is best utilised by the development resources in your company. A typical Azure App Consult session will last up to 3 hours.
Azure App Consulting Services benefit offer does not apply to Azure Government and Azure Germany customers.
- Can I trade in this upgrade for more monetary commitment or apply it to my Microsoft Azure consumption?
No. This EA Upgrade Offer is not transferrable and cannot be converted into any other benefit.
- Why are Premier customers not included in this EA Upgrade Offer?
Premier support customers are currently receiving a broader level of support than what is available through this EA Upgrade Offer. Azure technical support hours (Problem Resolution Services) are not decremented from your Premier contract.
