Preview: Azure App Service cloning now available between regions

A new option was added to New-AzureRMWebApp in Azure PowerShell version 1.1.0 that gives users the ability to clone an existing web app to a newly created app in a different region or in the same region. This enables customers to easily and quickly deploy a number of apps across different regions. These features are now available:

• Clone an existing app
• Clone an existing app to an app service environment
• Clone an existing app slot
• Configure Traffic Manager while cloning a app

App cloning is currently only supported for premium tier app service plans. The new feature uses the same limitations as the Web Apps Backup feature.For more information, see:
