Windows Virtual Desktop is now generally available worldwide

Now available in all geographies, customers will be able to deploy scalable Azure-based virtualisation solutions with a number of operating systems, including Windows 10 multi-session, Windows Server and Windows 7 desktops with free Extended Security Updates for up to three years for customers still completing their move to Windows 10. We have also been working closely to build out an extensive partner ecosystem that can extend the benefits and capabilities of Windows Virtual Desktop to enable customers to get the most of out their virtualisation investments.
With the appropriate licence, simply set up an Azure subscription to get started today. You can choose the type of virtual machines and storage for your environment and optimise your costs by taking advantage of Azure Virtual Machine Reserved Instances to save up to 80 per cent.
