Public preview: Cross-region read replicas for Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Hyperscale (Citus)

Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Hyperscale (Citus) now supports asynchronous replication of data from one server group to other server groups in different regions. This feature allows read-heavy workloads to scale out and be balanced across replica server groups according to your preferences. Replica server groups are read-only and can be configured independently from their source server group. For instance, increased compute can be used on a read replica in another region if it is handling a lot of compute intense queries. Any supported region can be selected for read replicas.
