Preview: HBase clusters in the HDInsight Service

06 June 2014

HBase is a low-latency, NoSQL database designed for online transactional processing of big data. It's integrated into Azure as a managed cluster, and configured to use Azure Blob storage (which means you get low latency and flexibility when it comes to performance and cost). Build interactive websites that work with large datasets, or services that store sensor and telemetry data from millions of end points. Analyze your data using Hadoop jobs. HBase clusters are based on a Hortonworks distribution of Hadoop, and are compatible with existing HBase workloads and ecosystem components. For more information, see Get started using HBase with Hadoop in HDInsight.
