New Azure datacenters available in Japan

26 February 2014

We've opened two new Azure datacenters in Japan: Japan East (in Saitama Prefecture) and Japan West (in Osaka Prefecture). Both officially launched in February and were built to help customers meet data residency goals, improve data durability, and address disaster recovery scenarios via geo-replication between the two regions. Visit the Microsoft Azure website for details on service availability and pricing. Read the Official Microsoft Blog for more background info on the launch.
