New Azure Automation features for easier integration and orchestration

04 May 2015

Azure Automation enables the creation, deployment, and maintenance of resources for cloud and on-premises environments by using a highly scalable and reliable workflow service. We’ve announced a set of new preview features to make integration, automation, and orchestration even easier, including:
  • Built-in integration with on-premises systems and Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration nodes. Automation is accessible via the new REST APIs from services (including GitHub and Visual Studio Online) by using webhooks, or with Azure Resource Manager templates.
  • Runbook Management for managing runbooks, jobs, and assets more easily from the Microsoft Azure portal, including a new graphical workflow-authoring tool to enable faster runbook design.
For more information, please visit the Automation page. There is no additional charge for this feature.
