Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) virtual node is now available
Published date: 06 May, 2019
AKS virtual nodes allows you to elastically provision additional pods inside Azure Container Instances that start in seconds.
With a few clicks in the Azure portal, you can turn on the virtual node feature and get the flexibility and portability of a container-focused experience in an AKS environment – and there’s no need to manage additional compute resources.
This feature is powered by the open source Virtual Kubelet technology, and is now available to the public.
