Authenticate to Azure from Azure Automation using Azure Active Directory
Posted on 03 September 2014
Azure Automation no longer requires management certificates to automate Azure resources. Now you can automate the management of your Azure services simply by creating an Azure Active Directory user (an OrgId). This feature is included in Azure PowerShell Version 0.8.6, which introduced the ability to noninteractively authenticate to Azure using an OrgId user. To learn more about how you can use this new feature, see Azure Automation: Authenticating to Azure using Azure Active Directory. Azure Automation is a new service that allows you to automate the management of resources in your Azure environment using a highly scalable and reliable workflow execution engine.
