General availability: VPN over ExpressRoute private peering
VPN over ExpressRoute allows customers to encrypt all traffic going over their ExpressRoute circuit. VPN over ExpressRoute, combined with site-to-site and point-to-site VPN provides end-to-end encryption between data centers, branch offices and remote users.

Private endpoints for Azure Storage are now generally available in the Azure Government region
Private endpoints for Azure Storage are now generally available in the Azure Government region. Private endpoints provide secure connectivity to Azure Storage from an Azure virtual network. On-premises networks can also securely connect to a storage account using a private endpoint when that network is connected to a virtual network using Azure Express Route or VPN.

On-premises networks can also securely connect to a storage account using a private endpoint when that network is to a VNet using Express Route or VPN. Private Endpoints for Azure Storage are now generally available in all Azure public regions.

Native Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) authentication support for OpenVPN protocol, and Azure VPN Client for Windows are now generally available for Azure point-to-site (P2S) VPN.

VNet Gateway meter name changes
Effective December 1, 2019, the meter names of VNet Gateway standard, high performance, and ultra high performance will change. There won't be a pricing impact from this change, but you will need to modify billing routines that rely on names.

Point-to-site VPN connectivity in Virtual WAN preview
We are pleased to announce support for point-to-site VPN in Azure Virtual WAN. A point-to-site (P2S) VPN lets you create a secure connection to your Azure Virtual WAN from an individual client computer.
OpenVPN support for Azure VPN Gateways
Azure Virtual Network Gateways now support OpenVPN as a protocol for point-to-site clients to connect.
Zone-redundant VPN and ExpressRoute virtual network gateways generally available
Zone-redundant VPN and ExpressRoute virtual network gateways are now generally available. This physically and logically separates them across different availability zones, protecting your on-premises network connectivity to Azure from zone-level failures. Additionally, we have made fundamental performance improvements including reducing the deployment time to create a virtual network gateway.

General availability: Disable BGP route propagation for virtual network routes
If you're connecting your virtual network by using Azure ExpressRoute or VPN gateways, you can disable routing through BGP by simply adding a property in your route tables.
