General availability: Announcing private Azure Marketplace

Azure Marketplace has thousands of industry-leading apps that are workload building blocks for Azure. You can find, try, and buy apps in a wide array of categories like Compute, DevOps, AI and Machine Learning, just to name a few.  As we continue to build out a world-class experience for customers, we are announcing the general availability of the private Azure Marketplace feature.

Private Azure Marketplace is a tenant level feature for existing Azure customers that is built on top of Azure Marketplace and enables the administrator to govern which products will be available for deployment by the users. The administrator can add apps from Azure Marketplace into the private Azure Marketplace that comply with their organization’s policies and standards. Afterwards, users can easily buy or deploy these pre-approved apps within the organization. Microsoft apps are automatically added to private Azure Marketplace. We have added a new UI for marketplace role assignment and an approval request flow with notifications across the journey.
