Approximately one year ago, members of the Bing team began to build applications for News, Weather, Finance, Sports, Travel and Maps for Windows 8. The team uses services in Windows Azure to scale and support rich apps that are powered by lots of data and content with hundreds of millions of users. Several of these, like the Finance app, rely heavily on data and services from Windows Azure.
