General Availability: Hadoop 2 in Azure HDInsight

Hadoop 2.2 in Azure HDInsight is now generally available.  Easily deploy the latest version of key Hadoop components (including YARN, Hive, Pig, Oozie and others) to Azure and bring big data processing to all of the data in Azure Blob Storage.This release includes improved performance and scalability of the core Map/Reduce implementation, the ability to use YARN to bring different distributed apps to the cluster, and substantial performance improvements in Hive via the second phase of the Stinger Project.To get started, head to the management portal and deploy a version 3 cluster using Custom Create.  Or, see Get started Hadoop in HDInsight.
