Azure Private Link support for Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics is now generally available in all US government regions.
Private Link provides private connectivity from a virtual network to Azure platform as a service (PaaS), customer-owned or Microsoft Partner services. It simplifies the network architecture and secures the connection between endpoints in Azure by eliminating data exposure to the public internet.
You have the option to connect to the private endpoint from within the same virtual network, peered virtual networking in the same region or via VNet-to-VNet connection across regions. Or, connect from on-premises using ExpressRoute, private peering or VPN tunneling.
