General Availability: Scheduler
Published date: April 03, 2014
Azure Scheduler is live, available in all Azure regions, backed by an enterprise SLA, and ready to use for production scenarios. The release also includes new Azure Scheduler PowerShell cmdlets, and the Scheduler .NET API (included in WAML 1.0).Our customers used Scheduler (Preview) to invoke Hadoop workloads, trigger diagnostic cleanups, and periodically check that partners have submitted content on time. ISVs used it to add scheduling capabilities, like report generation and send reminders.Use Azure Scheduler to run jobs on simple or complex recurring schedules that can invoke HTTP/S endpoints or post messages to storage queues. Scheduler has built-in high availability and can reliably call services inside or outside of Azure.
