Azure SQL Database published the first in the industry business continuity SLA for a relational database service

Azure SQL Database service has updated its service level agreement (SLA) to provide up to 99.995% availability. In addition, we are introducing new financially backed SLAs for common business continuity metrics for the Business Critical service tier, including a 100% SLA for a 5 second recovery point objective (RPO) and a 100% SLA for a 30 second recovery time objective (RTO). Azure SQL Database is the first relational database service in the industry to offer such guarantees. For more information, see SLA for SQL Database.
