Azure Dedicated Hosts now provide support for Azure reservations
Published date: March 26, 2020
Azure Dedicated Host provides a single-tenant physical server to host your Azure Virtual Machines for Windows and Linux. The server capacity isn’t shared with other customers. Run Lsv2, Msv2, Dasv4, and Easv4 Azure Virtual Machines on Dedicated Host. Purchase Azure reservations (1-year or 3-year terms) for Dedicated Host to reduce your costs compared to pay-as-you-go rates. New Azure Dedicated Host SKUs featuring new hardware types are now available as well.
As a result, you can now run a broader range of workloads on Azure Dedicated Hosts including general purpose, memory, and/or storage-intensive workloads on physical servers dedicated to your organization. Address specific organizational compliance requirements while increasing visibility and control over the underlying infrastructure running your workloads, including the ability to plan your maintenance window ( in preview), using Azure Dedicated Host.
These new Azure Dedicated Host offerings are now generally available.
