Azure Database Migration Service–Support for source target pairs

Reduce the complexity of your cloud migration by using a single comprehensive service instead of multiple tools. The public preview release of Azure Database Migration Service is designed as a seamless, end-to-end solution for moving on-premises SQL Server databases to the cloud. The service will support migrations of homogeneous/heterogeneous source-target pairs and the guided migration process will be easy to understand and implement.
Preview
Azure Database Migration Service—support for SQL Server 2005+ to Azure SQL Database Migrations
The preview release of Azure will support migrations from SQL Server 2005 and later versions to Azure SQL Database.

Private preview
While the preview release of Azure Database Migration Service will support migrations from SQL Server 2005 and later versions to Azure SQL Database, you can also sign up to participate in the private preview of Azure Database Migration Service functionality supporting migrations from:
- SQL Server 2005 and later versions to Azure SQL Database Managed Instance or to SQL Server on Azure IaaS Virtual Machines.
- Oracle to Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Database Managed Instance or to SQL Server on Azure IaaS Virtual Machines.
- MySQL to Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Database Managed Instance or SQL Server on Azure IaaS Virtual Machines.
