Azure Benefit for Microsoft Partner Network

Members of the Microsoft Action Pack program receive monthly credits of USD 100 of Azure at no charge. Join the Microsoft Action Pack.

Flexibility with Azure Credits

Any taxes which may result from receiving services at no charge are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

The choice is now yours on how you use your Azure credits. Use them on any Azure service based on your needs including, Virtual Machines, Web Sites, Cloud Services, Mobile Services, Storage, SQL Database, Content Delivery Network, HDInsight, Media Services, and many more.

Use the pricing calculator to estimate how much you could use with USD 100 per month. Here are a few usage scenarios that consume no more than USD 100 per month:

  • Run 1 small Virtual Machine instance for the entire month, or
  • Store 400 GB of data in Storage, or
  • Develop and test a web application using Cloud Services, with 3 web roles and 2 worker roles on small instances, for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, or
  • Run a 30GB SQL Database for the entire month

Any unused monthly credits cannot be carried over to subsequent months and cannot be transferred to other Azure subscriptions. Monthly usage in excess of the monthly credit amount included with your offer will be charged at the Pay-As-You-Go rates. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes to the Pay-As-You-Go rates.

You must be in the Microsoft Partner Network Cloud Essentials program and utilize a Microsoft Account associated with that program. Microsoft Partner Network doesn’t support Organizational ID, and you should use Microsoft Account (Live ID) to activate/use this subscription. The MPN team is planning to add Org ID support soon. You must maintain an active membership to enjoy the Azure benefit for Microsoft Partner Network Cloud Essentials. This offer is limited to one per subscriber.

We require a credit card or debit card to authenticate you when you sign up. Your credit card will initially NOT be charged as your new account has a USD 0 Spending Limit. Use up to your monthly Azure credits at no charge. If you exceed your monthly credits, your service will be disabled for that month. You can choose to turn off your Spending Limit, and any usage each month in excess of the monthly credits will be charged at the Pay-As-You-Go rates. Read more about the Spending Limit feature.

Exclusions

Azure Credits may not be used to purchase Azure support plans, third-party branded products, or products otherwise sold separately from Azure (for example, Microsoft Entra ID Premium).

Additional Terms

You will not facilitate, engage in, or participate in any use of Azure services, for crypto currency mining, denial of service attacks, spamming, or illegal activity, and/or any use that could cause harm to Microsoft or others, and will enforce strong internal controls to prevent the same. Microsoft may from time to time contact you regarding your use of your Azure services and you will upon such request provide reasonable documentation regarding your use. If Microsoft believes for any reason that such Azure services are being used for any prohibited purpose, Microsoft may, in its sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to the Azure services.

Payment options

All you need is a phone number, a credit card or a debit card (non-prepaid), and a Microsoft account or a GitHub account. Only credit cards are accepted in Hong Kong and Brazil.

Limits, Quotas and Constraints

Please refer to this document for a list of common Microsoft Azure limits, quotas and constraints.

The following monthly usage quotas are applied. If you need more than these limits, please contact customer service at any time so that we can understand your needs and adjust these limits appropriately.

Service-level agreements

We offer a set of robust service level agreements for each of the Azure platform services. More details on each of our SLAs can be found on our SLA page. Service level agreements are not provided for services during preview.

Resource Commitment

All increases in usage levels of service resources (e.g. adding to the number of compute instances running, or increasing the amount of storage in use) are subject to the availability of these service resources. Any quota described in the Limits, Quotas and Constraints section is not a commitment that there will be sufficient resources available for you to reach the quota.

For any subscriptions of this offer that are not incurring charges and are inactive for more than 90 days, we reserve the right to remove any compute resources including hosted service(s), virtual machines and websites. Please note that no data would be deleted and customers can redeploy at any time. We will also provide advance notice prior to removing any compute resources.

You can also avoid having your compute resources removed by doing either of the following every 90 days:

  1. Log into the Azure portal.
  2. Access your resources via our Azure APIs.
