Set auto-shutdown for VMs created through Resource Manager

Publicatiedatum: 22 november, 2016

You can set virtual machines created through the Azure Resource Manager deployment model to shut down automatically.

This feature was originally available only to VMs in Azure DevTest Labs. Auto-shutdown was the most popular policy used for DevTest Labs. However, a significant number of users already had centrally managed dev/test workloads running in Azure, so we made this feature available for all Resource Manager–based Azure VMs.

To set auto-shutdown for a VM, go to the VM blade in the Azure portal and select **Auto-shutdown** on the resource menu. On this new menu, you can specify the shutdown time and the time zone.
