Public preview: Azure SQL migration assessment enabled by Azure Arc

With SQL Server enabled by Azure Arc, you can enjoy the cloud advantages from the very beginning of your migration journey. It lets you use the Azure control plane and management services for your SQL Server instances on-premises or in multiple clouds. You can manage your hybrid SQL Server environment consistently and efficiently with Azure's unified and modern tools. This leads to immediate operational efficiencies and cost savings and the best possible migration and modernization experience.
To make your migration even easier, we are releasing Azure SQL migration assessment, enabled by Azure Arc in public preview. This new feature means, when you connect your SQL Server with Azure Arc, you will receive an Azure SQL migration readiness assessment by default and on a continuous basis that is resilient to changing environment. This assessment provides the Microsoft-recommended Azure SQL deployment option that best fits your workload needs at a cost-optimized manner. It also flags any migration risks and provides mitigation recommendations.
