Microsoft Azure Site Recovery: Virtual Machines replication directly to Azure
Published date: June 19, 2014
Replicate virtual machines from your primary site directly to Azure (instead of to your own secondary site) with Azure Hyper-V Recovery Manager. In the event of an outage at the primary site, the service orchestrates the recovery of virtual machines in Azure. To better reflect the service’s new, broader capabilities, we're using this preview to give it a better name: "Microsoft Azure Site Recovery." The Azure Management Portal will be changing slightly to reflect the new name.If you want to continue replicating between two of your own sites, you don't need to do anything. If you want to start replicating to Azure, you'll need to create a new recovery plan.During preview the service is available at a 50 percent discount.
