Expanded Azure Cosmos DB free tier now in general availability

With updates to the Azure Cosmos DB free tier, developers can now get even more free provisioned throughput (Request Units per second) and storage each month. With Azure Cosmos DB free tier, you can now get the first 1000 Request Units per second of provisioned throughput and 25 GB storage each month for the lifetime of one Azure Cosmos DB account per Azure subscription (increased from 400 Request Units per second and 5 GB).
Use Azure Cosmos DB free tier to develop and test your applications, run small workloads in production for free, or simply apply a discount to your Azure Cosmos DB account. Azure Cosmos DB accounts already opted into the free tier will automatically have the new amounts applied; no action required.
