  • The service supports moving from any public Azure region to any other public Azure region, and moving resources within regions in China.

  • Yes, you can move multiple resources in a single move. Depending on how much data each resource has, the time it takes to move multiple resources varies.

  • Yes, Availability Zones are supported depending on the availability in the target Azure region. Please refer to the Availability Zone region roadmap for more details.

  • No, Azure Resource Mover moves resources only between Azure public regions. Azure Migrate provides a central hub for assessment and migration and moves resources from on-premises environments to Azure.

  • You may perform as many test migrations as you'd like, so you have ample time to test and validate your migration. On your final migration, rollback is automated until your final commit. Even after committing, your original resources remain intact until you decide to delete them.

  • Yes, you can delete your source files after a move is completed.
