Protect and recover your production workloads in Azure
Published date: October 02, 2014
Azure Site Recovery announces the general availability of its scenario—protection and recovery in Azure. This scenario enables you to protect your workloads in Azure, and you can run from Azure in case of maintenance or disaster. The scenario supports encryption at rest. The three types of failovers built into the feature enable you to test replication (test failover), failover with zero data loss for planned outages (planned failover), and recovery in case of disaster (unplanned failover). In the general availability release, we have integrated with Azure Automation to enable faster recovery by scripting actions. Also in this release, setup has been simplified to remove the complexity of handling certifications and integrity keys. You can also now monitor the progress of the long-standing initial replication.
