New indexing metrics for Azure Cosmos DB in general availability

In addition to the existing query metrics, you can now use the new indexing metrics to optimize query performance in Azure Cosmos DB. The indexing metrics allow you to see both the utilized indexes as well as the recommended indexes, so you can understand how your query used existing indexes and also gain insight into other opportunities for improving performance. The indexing metrics are helpful for identifying composite indexes that can improve query performance.
