IoT Central introduces capabilities for rules and alerts, visualization, personalization & more

IoT Central is introducing new capabilities that are designed to simplify IoT Central for developers and enable integration to a customer’s existing enterprise and line of business solutions by enabling more seamless integration to a customer’s existing enterprise and line of business solutions.
These new capabilities are designed to simplify IoT Central for developers, enabling more customized visualizations, secure and scaled device management, and integration with existing customer business applications.
First, Rules and Alerts enable monitoring and creating alerts on events that affect device health and usage, backed by Azure Stream Analytics. New Visualization options and dashboard customization capabilities enable customers to create custom views for different types of users. Inbound and Outbound Data Connectors allow operators to integrate with third party systems (whether upstream, to ingest data from other clouds, or downstream to bring data into business applications). Finally, Device Management enables customers to manage devices at scale with ease, from copying and saving jobs, to allowing for easier onboarding of new devices.
