Azure Certified for Plug and Play is now available

Announced during Microsoft Build in May 2019, IoT Plug and Play democratizes the language used to declare IoT device capabilities and simplifies solution development. Device builders can make existing IoT devices compatible with IoT Plug and Play which is currently available in public preview by authoring the open modeling language that describes the interaction model of the device, making target code updates, and sharing the model when the devices connect to the cloud.
Achieving IoT Plug and Play certification offers multiple advantages. Once a device is IoT Plug and Play-certified, it can easily be used in any solution, which increases the market opportunity for device builders. In addition, certified devices will continue to be compatible with solutions that are not IoT Plug and Play aware. IoT Plug and Play-certified devices appeal to solution developers because they enable them to simplify and accelerate solution development.
