Azure NetApp Files (ANF) cloud file storage service is charged per hour based on the provisioned ANF capacity. Customers can provision a minimum of 1 TiB of ANF capacity and then add additional provision capacity in the increments of 1 TiB. Cross Region Replication pricing varies by the desired replication frequency per unit of data, and the region of the destination volume.

Prices are calculated based on US dollars and converted using London closing spot rates that are captured in the two business days prior to the last business day of the previous month end. If the two business days prior to the end of the month autumn on a bank holiday in major markets, the rate setting day is generally the day immediately preceding the two business days. Reserved capacity helps you lower your data storage cost by committing to Azure NetApp Files for one year or three years. Reserved capacity (available for Single Encryption only) can be purchased in increments of 100 TiB and 1 PiB for one-year and three-year terms. All prices are per month. Azure NetApp Files Cross Region Replication is a disaster recovery capability, that enables easy replication of storage volumes from one Azure region to another. Choose from one of the following tiers of replication frequencies.

Cross Zone Replication

Azure NetApp Files Cross Zone replication feature allows you to replicate your Azure NetApp Files volumes asynchronously from one Azure availability zone(AZ) to another in the same region. It helps you protect your data from unforeseeable zone failures, without the need for host-based data replication. Cross-zone replication doesn’t involve any network transfer costs, and hence it is highly cost-effective.
