Azure DevTest Labs: Set auto-shutdown for a single lab VM
Published date: December 19, 2016
In Azure DevTest Labs, you can now configure auto-shutdown for a single lab VM in addition to the auto-shutdown policy that applies to all the lab VMs. If you have remote team members in the same lab working in different time zones, or your lab has VMs that run at different times (for example, one build server runs overnight while the others are shut down), this feature provides more flexibility for you to control the schedule for each lab VM and minimize waste. After you configure the custom auto-shutdown setting for a single VM, it will be persisted regardless of whether the lab-level auto-shutdown policy changes.
To configure auto-shutdown for a single lab VM, go to the lab VM blade and click Auto-shutdown on the resource menu:
The new tiles on the lab VM Overview blade display the schedule info for auto-start and auto-shutdown, respectively:
Please try it today and let us know what you think about it! If you have an idea for how to make it work better, submit your feedback (or vote for others) at the Azure DevTest Labs feedback forum.
