Azure Load Balancer support for IP-based backend pool management is in preview

Date de publication : 07 juillet, 2020

Azure Load Balancer now supports load balancing across IP addresses in the backend pool. Previously, you could only add network interfaces associated virtual machines in the backend of a Load Balancer. With this release, you can load balance to resources in Azure via your private IPv4 or IPv6 addresses using Standard Load Balancer.>

This enables flexibility to load balance across containers in addition to virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets associated with their load balancer. You're also able to preconfigure a backend pool with a private IP address before resources are created. This functionality is available in all Azure public regions, Government cloud regions, and China cloud regions.

Get started through Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Rest APIs.
