Generally available: Premium-series hardware for Azure SQL Managed Instance

New premium-series hardware based on the 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon Scalable processor (code name Ice Lake) provides your SQL instances with faster compute and memory performance as well as improved IO and network experience over the standard-series (Gen 5) hardware offering. You can now migrate more of your mission-critical resource-intensive applications to Azure SQL Managed Instance and enjoy all the benefits of a fully managed database service in the cloud.
