Azure Monitor for containers—Prometheus integration is now in preview

Prometheus, a popular open source metric monitoring solution and a part of Cloud Native Compute Foundation, is now integrated with Azure Monitor for containers (in preview). Many customers like the extensive metrics that Prometheus provides on Kubernetes. However, they also like how easy it is to use Azure Monitor for containers which provides fully managed, out of the box monitoring for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters. Prometheus integration with Azure Monitor for containers brings together the best of two worlds. With this preview you can now:

• Easily collect Prometheus metrics with Azure Monitor.
• Use the Prometheus metrics with the rest of the metrics (including recently added storage and network performance metrics) collected by Azure Monitor for containers to get an end-to-end monitoring view of your AKS clusters.
• Visualize and create alerts on the Prometheus metrics.
