Windows Server containers in AKS is now available in Azure Government
Published date: June 10, 2020
Windows Server containers in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is now available to Azure Government customers (US federal, state, and local governments and their partners) via all three US Gov regions, including Virginia, Texas, and Arizona.
Many Azure Government customers are looking to adopt Kubernetes and AKS as their primary compute platform and have existing Windows applications that they’d like to manage using the same tools and processes. They can now achieve this in a dedicated cloud that meets stringent government security and compliance requirements.
Azure Government customers can take advantage of this new feature to run Linux and Windows workloads side-by-side in a single cluster using the same tools, and create/upgrade/scale Windows node pools in AKS through the standard tools (portal or CLI) and Azure will help manage the health of the cluster.
