We’re retiring some Azure Site Recovery support options on March 1, 2023
Published date: February 26, 2020
As we continue to invest in Azure Site Recovery capabilities, we’re focusing our engineering efforts on disaster recovery to Azure. As a result, we’re retiring these scenarios in Site Recovery.
- Disaster recovery between on-premises VMware or physical server datacenters isn’t supported after December 31 2020.
- Disaster recovery between on-premises Hyper-V hosts managed by System Center Virtual Manager Manager (VMM) isn’t supported after March 1 2023.
After these dates, you won’t be able to view, manage, or run the respective scenario in the portal. Any replication data will also be removed.
What should I do?
We recommend that before these dates, you set up disaster recovery of VMware VMs/Hyper-V VMs to Azure. You can configure Hyper-V site-to-site disaster recovery using Hyper-V replica, but you can’t manage it with Site Recovery.
