In-Virtual Machine Scheduled Events

Scheduled Events, a subservice under Azure Metadata Service, will surface information regarding upcoming events (for example, reboot), allowing your application to prepare and limit disruption. By giving your Virtual Machine time to perform preventive tasks, it could help minimize the effect of an event. It is available for all Azure Virtual Machine types including PaaS and IaaS.
