Azure NetApp Files HANA certification and new region availability

Azure NetApp Files, one of the fastest growing bare-metal Azure services, has achieved SAP HANA certification for both scale-up and scale-out deployments. Often, SAP and HANA cloud deployments face performance and scaling limitations due to latency sub-optimal storage performance and lack of independently scalable shared file-storage in Azure. The release of NFSv4.1 support on Azure NetApp Files breaks this dependency. This means that the migration of the largest SAP HANA deployments can now be accelerated. HANA Certification has been the most anticipated announcements from our customers who have large SAP and HANA implementation running on-premises file-storage infrastructure. With this milestone, Azure NetApp Files enables one more proof point to support our promise to enable customers to move their business to the cloud on their own terms,with performance and an experience similar to or better than their on-premises environments.
Azure NetApp Files is now available in UK South and UK West, for a total of 11 regions. See the current region availability.
