Azure Files Active Directory authentication with Azure AD domain services is now generally available. Azure Files offers fully managed file shares in the cloud that are accessible via the industry standard SMB protocol. It allows IT professionals to specify granular permissions on shares, files, and folders. This integration will also make it easier to lift and shif” applications to the cloud while maintaining the same security model used on-premises.
