Prices are estimates only and are not intended as actual price quotes. Actual pricing may vary depending on the type of agreement entered with Microsoft, date of purchase, and the currency exchange rate. Prices are calculated based on US dollars and converted using London closing spot rates that are captured in the two business days prior to the last business day of the previous month end. If the two business days prior to the end of the month fall on a bank holiday in major markets, the rate setting day is generally the day immediately preceding the two business days. Form Recognizer extracts key value pairs and tables from documents and includes the following options:
- Customised – Form Recogniser learns the structure of your forms (invoices, POs, industry specific records) to intelligently extract text and data. It ingests text from forms and then outputs structured data that includes the relationships within the original file. That way, you can extract information quickly, accurately and tailored to your specific content, without heavy manual intervention or extensive machine learning expertise.
- Prebuilt – Form Recogniser supports various prebuilt models for common document types. Detect and extract data from receipts, invoices, as well as vaccine, insurance, and business cards using optical character recognition (OCR).
- Layout – Detect and extract text and structure (tables, titles, paragraphs) from documents using OCR.

Form Recogniser is billed by pages analysed. When a document is submitted for analysis all pages are analysed unless a page range is specified with the "pages" parameter in the request.

Form Recogniser has a free tier (F0) that enables you to test all the Form Recogniser features.

Form Recogniser does not have a monthly/yearly subscription, but you can use the commitment-based pricing model for large workloads. See pricing details for additional details.

Training customised models is always free with Form Recogniser. You are only charged when a model is used to analyse a document.

While you cannot separate the bills for different models being used, metrics by model type are available in the Azure portal on the metrics tab.
