Wade Wegner has posted an update to the BidNow Sample application on the MSDN Code Gallery. This update increases the applications use of the Windows Azure platform and incorporates many of the BidNow Screenshotlatest features and services.  He has also written a great blog post that details the new services and features supported in this release. The BidNow Sample is an online auction site that demonstrates how the comprehensive set of cloud services in the Windows Azure platform can be used to develop a highly scalable consumer application. You can see a live version of the sample application here

With this latest update, BidNow leverages: SQL Azure for relational data, Windows Azure Access Control for authentication and authorization, Caching to store reference and activity data, OData services to extend reach, and a Windows Phone 7 client to demonstrate how to leverage cloud services from a mobile device.  Sample applications like BidNow, FabrikamShipping SaaS, and myTODO highlight the ways in which you can build applications that leverage the full capabilities of the Windows Azure platform.
