Azure Active Directory enables automatic password change for shared accounts
Shared application accounts are particularly useful for managing access to company-owned social media accounts on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Until now, only the administrator knew the password for these accounts, and other members of the group gained access with their corporate credentials. An important security enhancement to this process (which is in public preview) is the ability to automatically roll-over these passwords. This capability makes shared accounts more secure by automatically creating new, strong, and complex passwords at an interval you define, minimizing the risk of company-owned social media accounts being exploited. There is no additional charge for this feature. For more information, please visit the Azure Active Directory Team Blog.
