As with many certifications, the PCI DSS is renewed annually. Today I’m pleased to announce Microsoft published the 2016 Attestation of Compliance (AOC) on the Microsoft Trust Center. This renewal is evidence of Microsoft’s continued involvement with the PCI Security Standards Council and adds several services to our attestation, a sampling of which include:
- Identity and access management, such as Azure Rights Management
- Analytics services, such as HDInsight
- Management and security services like Key Vault and our new Management portal
- Data services, such as Redis Cache or Redis Cache premium
- Database solutions like SQL Data Warehouse and Azure Storage Premium
Azure also expanded the scope of PCI-certified regions to include datacenters in:
- Japan
- India
- Canada
- Australia
- South America
