This template allows you to deploy a simple VM Scale Set of Linux VMs using the latest patched version of Ubuntu Linux 14.04.4-LTS or 16.04-LTS. These VMs are behind a load balancer with NAT rules for ssh connections.

ubuntuOSVersion | The Ubuntu version for the VM. This will pick a fully patched image of this given Ubuntu version. Allowed values are: 14.04.4-LTS, 16.04-LTS. |
vmssName | String used as a base for naming resources. Must be 3-61 characters in length and globally unique across Azure. A hash is prepended to this string for some resources, and resource-specific information is appended. |
instanceCount | Number of VM instances (100 or less). |
location | Default location |
adminUsername | Admin username on all VMs. |
authenticationType | Type of authentication to use on the Virtual Machine. SSH key is recommended. |
adminPasswordOrKey | SSH Key or password for the Virtual Machine. SSH key is recommended. |
