New 48vCPUs Azure Virtual Machine sizes are now available

Published date: July 15, 2019

New 48vCPUs sizes for the Dv3, Dsv3, Ev3, Esv3, Fsv2, and Lsv2 Azure Virtual Machines are now available. This gives you more flexibility as you gradually scale up your workloads to meet your needs without overprovisioning your vCPU count.

Previously, you would have been required to deploy a larger VM size (64vCPUs) to increase the core count from 32vCPUs. As a result, you might not have been able to consume all the compute resources you provisioned. The new 48vCPUs VM sizes give you the opportunity to rightsize your vCPU count to better fit your workload requirements.
