RDS Remote Desktop Services, formerly Terminal Services, is a server role in Windows Server that provides technologies that enable users to access session-based desktops, virtual machine-based desktops, or applications in the data center from both within a corporate network and from the Internet. Remote Desktop Services enables a rich-fidelity desktop or application experience, and helps to securely connect remote users from managed or unmanaged devices.
We are expert at designing, migrating, and deploying this solution. We also offer this solution as a managed service product.
Windows Server 2012 R2 brought significant enhancements to deploying and managing an RDS environment and improving user experience with remote desktops and apps.
With a variety of device platforms connecting to the IT infrastructure, data security and compliance are key concerns. Microsoft technology helps IT provide more secure application delivery because applications are not sent to, or stored on, user devices. Instead, they are centralized in the datacenter or in the cloud, and users access them through the Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
Rich user experience
Provide a Windows experience that supports iOS, Mac OS X, and Android, in addition to Windows and Windows RT. The experience is further optimized by using RemoteFX, which provides support for wide-area network connections, software and multi-touch remoting.
Manage your systems architecture with a single, integrated console. You can automate deployment and configuration of server roles, manage personal and pooled virtual desktops, and use session shadowing to view and remotely control active user sessions. The Deployment Wizard automates configuration of various roles and accelerates deployment.
Enhanced storage capabilities
Reduce costs and increase efficiency with storage tiering, disk deduplication, dynamic distribution of resources (bandwidth, CPU, and disk use), and flexible storage options supporting direct-attached, network-attached, or storage-area network storage of virtual machines. Implement consistent user personalization with User Profile Disk in pooled deployments.
