Azure Monitor Application Insights now supports Python

Azure Monitor now supports distributed tracing, metric collection, and logging of Python applications through integration with OpenCensus.
Python is one of the world’s fastest growing and most popular languages, and it supports many data-centric workloads such as machine learning applications. Adopting Python-OC is a big step toward our support of an industry-wide open source standard.

For existing customers using the unsupported Application Insights Python SDK to send data to Azure Monitor, we’ve established a temporary Gitter channel to provide migration support.
