Evolving Microsoft Enterprise Integration Services

Today at BizTalk 360 Integrate 2016 conference in London, we shared our vision to enable seamless integration among enterprise applications across cloud-native and hybrid deployments.

In today's cloud-enabled world, our enterprise customers' needs are multi-faceted and evolving – balancing on- and off-premises workloads, securing their data wherever it lives and managing myriad business applications. Today at BizTalk 360 Integrate 2016 conference in London, we shared our vision to enable seamless integration among enterprise applications across cloud-native and hybrid deployments so our customers can achieve more.

With BizTalk Server and Logic Apps at the core of our enterprise integration story, customers can now connect both traditional on-premises applications to cloud-native applications seamlessly. We remain focused on delivering a hybrid integration platform that allows customers to extend their current on-premises BizTalk Server investments to the cloud through Logic Apps. Customers can now not only leverage extensive B2B/EDI capabilities, easily connect LOB applications to numerous SaaS and enterprise connectors but also consume Azure Services like Azure Machine Learning and Azure Functions through Logic Apps. Our goal is to evolve Logic Apps as an enterprise grade integration platform that brings core BizTalk server capabilities to the cloud.

Customers have told us that services like application messaging (Azure Service Bus) and API management are essential components of achieving an end-to-end integration scenario. Hence, we have ensured that these services are also at the center of our integration vision, building on top of our integration platform capabilities.

For over a decade we have been helping customers create integration scenarios with BizTalk Server and more recently we have introduced additional hybrid and cloud scenarios with Logic Apps public preview. With the new BizTalk server 2016 and Logic Apps releases coming soon, you will be able to connect to both traditional systems and cloud native applications easily. Also the choice that customers now have by being able to incorporate other Azure services like Functions and Machine Learning with Logic Apps, will help them to build more scalable and rich integration workflows.

In addition, we recently announced the public preview of Microsoft Flow, our newest SaaS offering that is offers a code-less method for business users to solve integration problems. Microsoft Flow is a key part of our integration solution; focusing mainly on scenarios like notifications, data collection and business approvals. Logic Apps is ideal for integration specialists and developers that are looking for a visual designer based approach or visual studio integration to solve complex scenarios like message validation, EDI, event orchestration across other Azure services and BizTalk orchestration for cloud data.
